Things to do & Events in Conwy, North Wales

UPCOMING EVENT - The Buoys Walking Retreat Week - Conwy Walking Festival -

The new Lonely Planet Guide says: 'What a wonderful thing: to walk the entire length of a country’s coastline, to trace its every nook, cranny, cliff-face, indent and estuary. How better to truly appreciate the shape – and soul – of a nation?'

The travellers’ bible has described the Welsh coastline as “the greatest region on Earth to visit in 2012” ahead of some of the world’s most iconic destinations.

Wales becomes the first country in the world to boast a footpath running along its entire coastline and Wales’ coast is the only UK region to feature in the guide’s top ten regions.

The All Wales Coast Path – a Welsh Government scheme costing £10m – will run from Chepstow right the way to Queensferry in Flintshire, North Wales.  It will stretch some 870 miles (1,400km) when it is opened on 5 May 2012.

We are lucky enough to have two of the sections on our doorstep at Haulfre Gardens and The Buoys.  Why not come and experience part of the new Coast Path and stay with us at either Haulfre Gardens or The Buoys in 2012.

Anyone interested in staying and accompanying us on a guided walk along part of the path in the Llandudno and Conwy area, please get in touch and we can provide you with further details about joining us for one of the sections - The Great Orme or Conwy Mountain.
